I don’t have much time — I somehow managed to spend 22 of my 30 minutes looking at e-mails…
Spent the last two days in Rome, which I absolutely fell in love with. Saw the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colisseum, though I didn’t go inside. I spent a lot of time in the area right next to the Colissum, where all the ruins are, the forum — I found that more interesting. We waited in-line for the Vatican for 2 – 2 1/2 hours, and I ended up getting very dehyrdated and throwing up right outside (though luckily not in or on). There’s a new most embarssing moment… The Sistine Chapel was goregous, though overwhelming. Sat inside it for a good 20 minutes, but could’ve spent much more time. I think I prefer the ceiling and the wall that Michaelangelo painted himself to the panels that he had the other artists create.
We’re in Florence, now, and I only have 3 minutes left on this card, so I’d better rush. I’ll try to bring my travel journal here tomorrow, and write out of that so that I’ll sound much more profound.
